Mika Liebe (Formerly Michal Lieberman)

Born in Tel Aviv, 1988

Lives and create in Copenhagen, Denmark.

 

I create porcelain vessels using traditional techniques, integrating them into furniture to form life-sized, intimate environments. Repetition and handwork transform these materials into spaces that hold memory and time. Empty interiors and landscapes without figures evoke fading places and the fragile sense of home.

Mika Liebe holds a BFA from the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design, Ceramic and Glass Department, Jerusalem (2015), and a Masterclass in figurative drawing and painting from "Hatachana", Tel Aviv. In 2021, she held a solo exhibition at the Incubator Gallery, Ceramic and Glass Department, Jerusalem. Her work is shown in galleries across Israel and collected privately around the world.
